I cringe whenever I get a cold because I know what’s coming. Thanks to childhood asthma, most of my colds quickly migrate to my chest, producing a dry, nagging cough that makes sleeping almost impossible. You know the one, right? It’s uncomfortable, keeps you from enjoying things, and lasts FOREVER.
When I was sick recently, I tried everything under the sun to kick my cough. Robitussin, Zarbees, Mucinex, Vicks on my chest and feet, running a humidifier, honey, a special lung liqueur, colloidal silver, nebulizing various things, and even a cough syrup from China. Nothing really touched my cough and it was so intense that as soon as I reclined, even slightly, it would start up and wouldn’t stop unless I kept a cough drop in my mouth all night. That darn tickle in the throat becomes a real pain in the rear!
Years ago, I had used oil of oregano in some capacity to help with a cough but I didn’t like it because I used the liquid which can be quite harsh on the throat because of its potency. A friend recommended these capsules and I quickly went to find them at our local health store. I kid you not, after just TWO doses of the capsules, my coughing was almost gone and there was no noticeable taste! I was finally able to sleep lying down again, without cough drops! You might think I’m being dramatic, but after almost a week of feeling like a zombie, being able to sleep again is such a blessing. I will be keeping them on hand now, whether at home or traveling.
For those who have suffered through or maybe are currently struggling with a lingering cough after illness, I hope these will help you out as much as they helped me. It’s not often I rave about a product, but this one is the real MVP! With antiviral and antimicrobial capabilities, oregano is a healing powerhouse you’ll want to have on hand!
Let me know what has worked for your lingering coughs!
