Thanks to Green Chef, we’ve branched out and have enjoyed trying a bunch of new recipes lately. You may remember last month I shared my review of Factor 75 Meals. They served their purpose, but once we started getting Green Chef meals, I knew I’d never go back to any other meal delivery service because Green Chef tastes so much better and I like being able to freshly prepare the meals instead of heating up pre-made food in the microwave.

If you haven’t tried Green Chef before, they are a meal kit delivery service where they send you all the ingredients needed to create each recipe and most meals have taken 30 minutes or less to prepare. You can use this link to get $55 off your first box. I really like that they don’t require a long-term commitment.

You select meals a few days ahead of time for the next week and you can skip as many weeks as you need to or cancel anytime. We chose the 4 meals per week option, and they have always had at least 4 Paleo options available, which is important to me as I have dietary sensitivities to grain and dairy. They also have a good selection of Keto meals, so it’s nice that they cater to special dietary needs. They provide you with the large recipe page you see below – as a visual learner, I love seeing the photos along with the written instructions.

The portion sizes have been good, leaving us satisfied but not stuffed. A bonus is that all the meals are bursting with color and they look beautiful once plated – believe me, I’m NOT skilled in the kitchen, but their ingredients and easy to follow instructions will make you look like you have professional chef skills! Below is how the Chicken with Garlic Tahini Aioli & Cauliflower Taboulleh turned out, what do you think?

Another recipe we have loved from Green Chef is Egg Roll Soup. Sounds a little odd, but it was incredible the depth of flavor the combination of ingredients provided; just like an egg roll without the shell. I will definitely be making it again – I love all Asian food, but it’s hard to find healthy Asian recipes. The final product is pictured below – it is perfect for chilly weather!

You may be thinking, OK, but what about the cost? They have a few plan options, including one powered by plants. The breakdown of cost is listed below. You’re paying for convenience – no shopping needed, and meals take 30 minutes or less to make, so it might seem expensive at first, but for us, it’s been a nice reprieve during a busy time of year. We won’t order them every week, but it’s nice to know it’s just a click away any time we need them!

Thanks for reading!
