Do you have a little one that loves to be attached to you at all times? Our little guy doesn’t love being put down, but at almost 14 pounds, carrying him all day can really take a toll on my back and arms! We tried several carriers like the Solly, Moby and Lille Baby all to no avail, as he didn’t like being confined in them for very long. Maybe in time he’ll grow accustomed to them, but I needed a solution for right now. Thankfully, a friend introduced me to the TushBaby carrier (you might have seen it on Shark Tank)! It’s basically like a fanny pack design with a platform for your child to sit on, and it has several compartments for diapers, keys, wipes, etc. It’s easy to put on and take off, as well as easy to get your child into and out of (unlike some other carriers that require a LOT of practice).

You can see me modeling it in the video below. Note, you’ll still need to support your child with at least one hand if you’re using it on a younger baby, so it’s not a hands free solution, but it has been such a lifesaver for my back as I’m walking him around the house and outside! You can also lay your baby on it so it doubles as a support for breastfeeding. When we hit the beach soon, it will be perfect for toting him around without making him too hot in a confined carrier. It looks like it will support children until they reach the age of 3 (can vary based on weight, of course), so it’s definitely a good investment that your child won’t quickly outgrow.

If you’d like to purchase your own TushBaby, you can receive 15% off using my code THEPLANKINGTRAVELER22! This is the perfect gift for expecting parents or to put on your own registry if you’re expecting. Let me know if you have any questions about it and I’ll be glad to help.
